  THE OLD TOWER OF OOSTELBEERS

Old Tower in front

In Oostelbeers you will see a tower standing in a grove, isolated in the field. The village Oostelbeers is 2 km away, why? In the Middle Ages it was normal that the villages moved to search better soil The houses were of clay, so that was demolished and rebuilt, but a stone church? Anyway, the ship was in poor condition and was demolished in 1870, so only the tower remained standing.   At the back you can see the original church from the 14th century, which was increased in the 15th century. So two churches, two altars.( 2 Genii Loci)

There is a ley line through the tower, through the front door and continue through the (bricked) back. On this line were two altars   (the Genii Loci), because there were two churches. In the middle and to the tree where the altars stood.
For some, this is a very difficult place, where people feel uncomfortable.   The tower itself stands on the curry network, that goes in the corners and has crossed below the tower.   We have signed the situation.
